How does it work? YouTube is an online website that anyone can access. Non-registered users can view uploaded videos, and registered users can upload, view, comment and like uploaded videos.

What is the purpose? The purpose of YouTube is to provide a way to access and share videos with the public. The videos can inform, entertain, educate, or persuade the audience.

How did it improve access to the environment? Because YouTube is a public website that anyone with internet can access, it is open to anyone who is interested. It is not geared towards any particular age group or type of person because there is such a wide variety of videos. With YouTube, people can learn about practically anything by looking at the computer and watching a video. In regards to Deaf people in particular, this allows Deaf people to preserve and share their stories and jokes, and also learn about things on the internet in a visual way.
